Complete Sliding Systems (Closed Type)
These housing units with four Standard Ball Bushings are cheaper than adjusting or aligning several single units or using Torque-Resistant Ball Bushings. The shafts are machined to order and can be supplied to any length (limited only by the permissible deflection).
This complete slide table assembly consists of two Aluminium Shaft End Support Blocks (WB46-7.. (fixed) or TB46-8.. (free) - see below) holding two parallel precision steel shafts and an aluminium housing unit containing four Standard Ball Bushings. Reference VB40-2..
The assembly can be arranged so that the table is fixed and the shaft ends are free, or the table can be free and the ends fixed. The housing unit is supplied equipped with fully sealed ball bushings as standard. For operating temperatures of more than 80ºC unsealed NB00 ball bushings are available. By specifying KB50-... stainless steel ball bushings and stainless steel shafts the whole assembly can be made corrosion-resistant therefore offering limitless possibilities. Ordering reference number VB40-5.. (shaft diameter).
