COMBINED ROLLER (CR) BEARINGS AND MATING STEEL PROFILES:

A comprehensive catalogue covering all aspects of combined roller bearings - including precision, jumbo & adjustable types
A guide to all of our linear motion products including combined roller bearings

So what is a combined roller bearing? A combined roller bearing is one bearing unit combining three components.

  1. RADIAL BEARING - rolls on the flanges of profiled steel channel
  2. AXIAL BEARING - rolls on web of profiled steel channel
  3. STUB AXLE - holds both bearings and provides an easy welding point

Here a combined roller bearing is sitting in a C section channel with the radial roller rolling on the flange of the channel. The axial roller is in contact with the web of the channel (right). The weldable steel hub is facing out here.

NOTE: ALL LUBE POINTS ARE FOR M6 GREASE NIPPLES (NOT SUPPLIED). 4.053, 4.054 & 4.055 don't have grease holes.

The ADVANTAGES of using this product range are:

a. The LARGE LOADS these bearings can carry IN BOTH LINEAR & VERTICAL APPLICATIONS (see data sheets on this website)

b. The fact there is BOTH RADIAL & AXIAL SUPPORT (see data sheets for load ratings)

c. It ENGINEERS OUT a lot of pre-fabricating and machining times and costs

d. The items are READILY AVAILABLE from our stock and a project can be completed very quickly.

e. Once the stub axle is WELDED into place, the replacement of both radial & axial rollers is easy and reduces future downtime costs.
